Description: Ancient Neapolitan sculpture depicting the Immaculate Madonna. The sculpture has a terracotta head with crystal eyes and polychrome wooden hands and feet. The Virgin has a crown and a halo in silver and a coral flower in her hand.The Virgin is depicted in her classical attitude while crushing the dragon and is flanked by a row of gherubini.Two cherubs of exceptional workmanship in polychrome wood appear to be coeval to the same.
